Volume Blow Dry

Equipment:
  • Roller brushes
  • Pintail comb
  • Hair dryer
Method:
  • Work your way from the bottom to top.
  • Section the bottom section using the pintail comb.
  • Blow dry the section straight using the hair dryer over the top hair, going down the setion continuously as the roller brush does the same but underneath.
  • To create the volume do this motion with the brush and dryer but upwards continuously until the top of the section is sticking smoothly upwards and outwards instead lying flatly straight down.
  • Once you are happy with the results, you make have to spray the hair with hairspray to keep the shape depending on the length as long hair will bring the shape down quickly.
  • Continue to do this routine on the next section working your way up to the top of the head.
Outcome:
When I tried to create this hairstyle my model had long hair so the roots of the hair didn't stay up for very long because the length kept pulling it back down. Even though it didn't work because of the type of hair I was using, it was still practice and I was able to understand and get a hang of the method throughout the lesson.
